The craft behind the image
PIX ALTER is an independent photo and video post-production studio based in Delhi, India. We work with photographers, brands, studios, agencies and e-commerce businesses worldwide.
Founded by Prateek Bhardwaj and Monika.
Our team brings more than 11 years of professional retouching experience and has retouched more than 300,000 images, from high-end portraits and fashion editorials to commercial campaigns and e-commerce catalogues.
We work remotely with international clients, and our work to date has included clients in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Romania, Australia and the UAE.
We believe great retouching is not about changing what makes an image beautiful. It is about refining the details, preserving the character, and creating a final image that feels natural, intentional and visually powerful.
Our image-editing workflow uses Adobe Photoshop and Camera Raw, while video is edited using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Other professional tools may be used where a project requires them. The software is only part of the process. Our priority is a result that stays consistent, accurate and true to the brief across every file.

Can you handle both small projects and large batches?
Yes. PIX ALTER takes on projects ranging from a single image to large batches and campaigns, with edits kept consistent across the full set. Recurring and monthly arrangements can be discussed for clients who need ongoing post-production support.
What do you need to start a retouching project?
Send your images in the highest quality you have, along with a short brief, references and any delivery requirements such as file format and size. Files can be shared through WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox or another agreed service, and finished work is delivered the same way.
Which file formats do you accept?
We work with JPEG, TIFF, PSD and common RAW formats such as CR2, CR3, NEF and ARW, as well as MP4 and MOV for video. Other formats can be discussed if required.
What images are needed for invisible mannequin editing?
For the best results, garments should ideally be photographed with invisible mannequin editing in mind. Send a clear front view of the garment on the mannequin, with the mannequin’s hands, arms or other parts positioned away from the garment wherever possible. An inside neck or collar shot is strongly recommended, while a back view should be provided when the back of the garment will be displayed.
For open garments, dresses, skirts or other pieces where the inside of the hem, sleeves or other areas are visible, additional reference shots may also be useful. We can reconstruct certain areas when reference shots are unavailable, but actual inside and back shots generally help us preserve the garment’s natural construction, shape and details.
For the cleanest results, all shots of the same garment should ideally be taken from the same camera position, lens and distance, with consistent lighting.
For open garments, dresses, skirts or other pieces where the inside of the hem, sleeves or other areas are visible, additional reference shots may also be useful. Do you offer a test edit?
Yes. Prospective clients can send up to two images with their instructions for a complimentary test edit. This allows them to evaluate our editing approach, attention to detail and ability to follow their creative direction before starting a larger project. Test edits are completed around our current production schedule. Additional images, or changes beyond the original test instructions, may be treated as separate work.
How much does photo retouching cost?
The price of a retouching project depends on the number of images, the type and complexity of the retouching, and the required turnaround. We provide a quote after reviewing your images and brief.
How long does photo retouching take?
Turnaround depends on the number of images, the level of detail and file size, so PIX ALTER confirms a timeline with each quote. As a general guide, smaller projects of up to 10 images may often be completed within 24 hours, depending on complexity and our production schedule. For urgent work, share your deadline early so we can confirm what is realistic.
How are corrections and revisions handled?
If we miss an instruction that was clearly included in the original brief, we correct it at no additional charge. Minor adjustments that reasonably fall within the original project scope may also be accommodated without additional cost. Requests involving substantial additional work, a significant change in creative direction, new requirements or work outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately.
Do you offer video editing?
Yes. Alongside photo retouching, we offer video editing, including colour grading and promotional edits. Examples are shown in the video section of the portfolio. Tell us what you have in mind and we can discuss the scope.
Do you share client images, and do you sign NDAs?
PIX ALTER only shows client work with the client’s permission and never sells or licenses client images to third parties. We can sign client NDAs before project files are shared, where required. For unreleased campaigns or product launches, mention it at the start so the terms are agreed before work begins. Work covered by an NDA is only shown publicly if the agreement and the client allow it.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. PIX ALTER is based in Delhi, India, and works with clients internationally through remote communication, file transfer and digital delivery.
